Program in English. THE WAY OF THE SHAMAN. Learn the basic techniques of shamanic divination and healing.

The Basic Workshop “The Way of the Shaman®” is the basis for further training in Core Shamanism. It introduces participants to universal, near-universal and common principles and techniques in shamanism, humankind’s oldest healing tradition. Core Shamanism is not defined by any particular ethnic group nor by any particular ideology.

Participants in this experiential workshop are taught to enter non-ordinary reality, where they meet and learn from their own individual spirit helpers – a classic step in shamanic practice.

Particular emphasis is on the classic shamanic journey, one of the most remarkable visionary methods used by humankind to explore a hidden universe, which is otherwise known mainly through myths and dreams. Participants are initiated into shamanic journeying, aided by drumming and other techniques for experiencing the shamanic state of consciousness and for awakening dormant spiritual abilities, including connections with nature.

Further practice includes methods for divination and healing. Participants learn from first-hand experience about interconnections with nature, how to restore spiritual power and health, and how shamanism can be applied in contemporary daily life to support oneself, others, and the planet.

This work, which is practiced similarly by indigenous shamans, is done with the help of drums and rattles, among other tools. The methodology can be learned safely and efficiently, as evidenced by more than 100,000 workshop participants on all continents over the past four decades.
