What does the word spirituality mean that is so often used?

When faced with various spiritual traditions and their forms, many seekers feel confused.

Some are repelled by forms that have outlived their time, behind which it is difficult to see a deeper meaning, while others are attracted by exotic forms that distract from the lack of content.

So what exactly is spirituality about? Where and with what to start?

In order not to get lost in the confusing offer of forms of spirituality of varying quality, we need safe, authentic, inspiring landmarks. Therefore, in the lectures we will pay attention to three significant thinkers, practitioners and authors of the 20th-21st centuries – Carl Gustav Jung, Ken Wilber and Richard Rohr. These outstanding, extraordinary personalities are united by authentic spiritual experience and the ability to pass it on in a way that is understandable to modern people.

Their written works and acquired experience can serve as a good and reliable guide in spiritual searches, revealing a new approach to spirituality and spiritual experience in the modern world.

Modern spirituality could be described with three keywords: transformative, non-dualistic, integral.

Spirituality is a voluntary openness and readiness for change, for the transformation process that is necessary for us to become true, authentic people. The main tasks of spirituality are to open a wider horizon, expand consciousness (give an alternative ability to realize) and promote a new humanity. Spirituality is the development of all human skills. Spirituality is the unification and healing of a person, because division causes diseases.
